Telephone Reset Page

This page is designed to assist a Capalon customer in performing a factory reset on a phone. Note that some of the steps ask you to enter data onto this web page, rather than on the phone.

Before You Begin

Please open a ticket with our support team via email to phonesupport@capalon.com, describing the problem and why you think a reset is necessary. Please do not proceed until a Capalon engineer has determined that a reset is necessary.

Reset Procedure

  1. Press the menu button. This is the button that looks like a piece of paper with one corner turned down. It is to the left of the hold button (the hand) and beneath the voicemail button (the envelope).
  2. Enter the digits "14"
  3. You will see "All parameters will be reset to factory default values. Continue?"
  4. Press the "ok" button, which will be the left-most of the 4 black buttons beneath the screen.
  5. Wait 2-3 minutes for the phone to reset itself. When complete, the phone will have no screen information such as our logo or your station name. This is normal.
  6. Press the menu button.
  7. Enter the digit "9"
  8. On your telephone screen, the second listed item will now read "CurrentIP" -- the value of CurrentIP is a group of 4 numbers (each has a value from 0-255) separated by periods, such as "192.168.0.101" or "10.0.5.157"
  9. Enter that value, without the quotes but with the periods, into this box:
  10. Click this button. This will open a new web browser tab to reset your phone. As soon as you see "SPA will resync the profile when it is not in use and reboot," you may close that tab to return to this window.
  11. The phone will now reset itself several times, and will read "Please restart now" and then "Capalon" after each.
  12. If the phone does not proceed automatically, press the menu button again.
  13. Enter the digits "13" and press "ok" to confirm you want to restart your phone.
  14. Get a cup of coffee. Within 3 minutes your phone should be back to normal!
