Telephone Reset Page
This page is designed to assist a Capalon customer in performing a factory reset on a phone. Note that some of the steps ask you to enter data onto this web page, rather than on the phone.
Before You Begin
Please open a ticket with our support team via email to
phonesupport@capalon.com, describing the problem and why you think a
reset is necessary. Please do not proceed until a Capalon engineer has determined that a reset is necessary.
Reset Procedure
- Press the menu button. This is the button that looks like a piece of paper with one corner turned down. It is to the left of the hold button (the hand) and beneath the voicemail button (the envelope).
- Enter the digits "14"
- You will see "All parameters will be reset to factory default values. Continue?"
- Press the "ok" button, which will be the left-most of the 4 black buttons beneath the screen.
- Wait 2-3 minutes for the phone to reset itself. When complete, the phone will have no screen information such as our logo or your station name. This is normal.
- Press the menu button.
- Enter the digit "9"
- On your telephone screen, the second listed item will now read "CurrentIP" -- the value of CurrentIP is a group of 4 numbers (each has a value from 0-255) separated by periods, such as "192.168.0.101" or "10.0.5.157"
- Enter that value, without the quotes but with the periods, into this box:
- The phone will now reset itself several times, and will read "Please restart now" and then "Capalon" after each.
- If the phone does not proceed automatically, press the menu button again.
- Enter the digits "13" and press "ok" to confirm you want to restart your phone.
- Get a cup of coffee. Within 3 minutes your phone should be back to normal!
